Hunting Knife Styles - 3/4 Tang
This is a listing of the standard 3/4 tang utility hunting, skinning and camping knife models that I make. To see some of my full tang and narrow tang models, check out my new Knife Gallery page. To ask for more details or inquire about the availability of any knife, or to place an order, please contact me.
These knives are mainly hollow ground, but I do flat grind some blades as well. My standard finish for these hunters is a matte-grey sandblasted finish. You can also read some general information about the design and construction of, and materials I use in my knives.
One of my standard pouch-type, handmade sheaths is included with each knife. You can also see a selection of different styles of sheaths, both plain and fancy on my sheath gallery page.
Click on any thumbnail below to view a larger image and to read more details. Please note that the prices listed below are now based upon blades ground from 154CM or ATS34 stainless steel. I still do offer 440C blades - prices would be roughly $10.00 less than those shown below. All prices listed are in Canadian dollars and do not include shipping or applicable taxes.
I am now offering a full selection of hunting knife models in full tang style as well as the 3/4 tang style shown below. You can currently see and read about many of my full tang hunters on my Knife Gallery page. Please feel free to contact me any time for more details.
New Skinner Patterns
At the bottom of this page you will find three new skinners. These should be of interest to anyone needing to skin large or small animals, but particularly of interest to trappers. I designed these new knives to be ground from thinner stock than I normally use in my similar sized hunters, which gives you a very slim slicing blade ideal for skinning.
The largest - my new model #5s skinner - is flat ground from 3/32” thickness and is particularly well suited to skinning beaver and other larger animals. I hollow grind the other two smaller knives from 1/16” thickness stock.
